Hello, I'm Paula
Negative space is beautiful.
I enjoy the silence.
I see the world as photographs. Moving, ever changing images with beautiful feelings and lovely emotions. I love to create.
I am a mom of five, wife of a retired Soldier, Marine veteran and an artist. I live in the desert of Colorado with a great view of Pikes Peak and more rescued animals than I can count. Pink is my favorite color. I love reality TV, and I cry at proposals.
Kindness means the world to me. I have chosen to focus on positivity and life.
Simply put — I love to create
I began my photographic journey two decades ago when I competed for national titles in high school. When I was a graphic artist in the Marine Corps, I took classes on photography in order to photograph high profile events in Washington DC. After leaving the military, I graduated the Art Institute of Colorado with bachelors degrees in photography, business and graphic design. I interned with Denver photographer Bloom Portraits for a year before finally stepping out fully on my own in 2013. I have worked for the state of Colorado, completed interviews with Denver news channel 9 on my work, and have been published in Suicide Girls and People Magazine.
